Taylor's Story
Miracles happen every day for local kids like Taylor, a beautiful and resilient little girl from Langford, South Dakota.
At just 6 days old, Taylor was airlifted to the Sanford Boekelheide NICU where tests revealed a virus in her spinal fluid that spread to her brain, causing encephalitis. Taylor was diagnosed with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy with dystonia, epilepsy and cortical visual impairment.
Taylor continues to receive expert pediatric care from Sanford Children's, and thanks to programs fueled by philanthropy, she and her family have never been alone.
