Riggs' Story

Miracles happen every day for kids like Riggs, a special 11-year-old boy from Watertown.

Initially, Riggs had a serious cardiac condition requiring heart surgery just days after birth and a second heart surgery at six years old. Following his third surgery, he was diagnosed with ZTTK Syndrome, a rare multisystem developmental disorder. There are only 30 cases of ZTTK Syndrome worldwide, and Riggs is the only known case in South Dakota.
